Privacy
Litar is a shared tapping race. There are no accounts, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
What your browser stores
- Your state and your sound setting, in this browser's local storage, so the page remembers them.
- A session pass, in this tab's session storage, valid for up to 12 hours, so you are not checked again when the connection drops. It contains an expiry time and a random number, nothing about you.
- A random session id for the current page load, kept in memory only, so a reconnect does not count the same taps twice.
What the server keeps
Totals only: taps and distance per state, the race state, and all-time counts of views and taps. We do not store IP addresses or anything that identifies you.
Bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile)
To keep scripts from playing, the page runs Cloudflare Turnstile once per visit, invisibly, in the background. Turnstile is provided by Cloudflare and processes information about your browser and device to tell people from bots. Its use is governed by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. If the check cannot run (for example, an extension blocks it), you can still watch the race.
Hosting
The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver it. Fonts load from Google Fonts.
